Aerodynamics will be impressive and the MX-30 SUV will look sharp and modern. It is a compact model with a coupe-like roofline and hatchback-like rear. The side profile looks sporty, but the front is surprisingly strong. Still, everything about this model looks straight and modern.

Inside, the new 2022 Mazda MX-30 will use natural materials, including breathable fabric upholstery. Most of the materials are made from recycled plastic bottles. Front passengers will enjoy plenty of legroom, but rear passengers may find long trips extremely unpleasant. The coupe-style roof line saves a lot of space in both rows, which is fine.

2022 Mazda MX-30 Driving range

The all-new 2022 Mazda MX-30 is bringing the rotary engine back to the US, and the compact SUV will offer both hybrid and all-electric variants. However, the exact specifications have not been announced. In Japan and Europe, the 2022 Mazda MX-30 offers a 35.5 kWh battery pack with a range of 200 km on a single charge.

It is said that a US model will offer a larger battery. Front-wheel drive is offered as standard, so we suspect AWD is optional. It will be interesting to see how the new MX-30 performs, especially the US spec model.
