2024 Lexus LS 500 Rumors Redesign Reviews

2024 Lexus LS 500. If the well-liked Lexus IS 500 isn’t your cup of tea, you might enjoy the company’s most recent performance. The 2024 Lexus LS 500 is a continuation of what is undoubtedly the company’s most recognizable moniker; the “Ass” in “LS 500 stands for “Ass,” not “IS.” What popularizes the Toyota luxury brand is the LS 400 luxury car. The performance-driven LS 500 is now here to pick up where the 400 left off.
While the LS 500 luxury sedan is a luxury sedan, the new model looks to inject more sportiness into the sedan. Honestly, this isn’t something to do in a luxury car, but it’s what it sells for. Other manufacturers and their sedans, such as Audi, have done the same with the S8. With that in mind, Lexus has included a new twin-turbo V6 to match the S8.
However, the word “peppy” is used because at a maximum 5,100 pound-feet, the 416-horsepower LS has some work done for it. Fortunately, the 2024 Lexus LS 500 managed to hit 60 mph in a relatively quick 4.8 seconds. Of course, the optional all-wheel drive system is responsible for this figure. However, if you want, you can still keep the new rear-wheel drive LS only if you want to. We will, because it reduces weight a bit and helps with fuel economy.
2024 Lexus LS 500 Redesign
Lexus refreshed the LS sedan last year with minor exterior changes, a retuned suspension and, most importantly, a new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It’s been a year since that facelift, but the LS will get another significant update for 2024, at least in hybrid form. The 2024 Lexus LS 500h will be the first US model to offer advanced driver assistance technology from Lexus Teammate. This advanced feature was previously available in the Japanese market but is not available in the US due to regulatory reasons.
Speaking of driven wheels, it’s time to talk about how to drive the LS 500. In one word: “Ah.” Many other publications have been disappointed with the driving experience compared to the competition. However, the 2024 Lexus LS 500 is a luxury sedan, not a sports sedan. With that in mind, travel and interior are even more important.

Finally, Lexus and Toyota are starting to update their biggest weakness: infotainment. The 2024 Lexus LS 500 was one of the first models to take advantage of this, along with the new Toyota Tundra. In short, this is a huge game-changer. Where there is a huge weak point is not the infotainment system that can keep up with the modern era. Speaking of keeping up with the modern age, driving the LS is like a luxury sedan, but it’s a bit chaotic when driving hard.
2024 Lexus LS 500 Powertrain Specification
The performance of the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 remains unchanged with the upgraded engine still producing 416 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Lexus claims that engineers made three small changes to help improve operation during cold starts, better manage the turbo gate thanks to a new logic program, and reset the transmission for the 10-speed automatic.
2024 Lexus LS 500 Release Date And Price
If you’re looking to get a 2024 Lexus LS 500, the lineup starts at $76,000 for an MSRP with the model hitting dealers later this year. Adding options like the Deluxe Package (heated and cooled seats among others) would have raised those prices, but the LS still comfortably undermined most of its German competition. Will the LS 500 be a game changer for the LS 400? Probably not, but it’s a step in the right direction for the brand.

2024 Lexus LS 500 Update
Lexus has made a number of minor changes to its 2024 lineup selection as it tries to keep some of its flagship models fresh for the new year. That includes the Lexus LS 500 sedan entering 2024 with minimal changes that still have to make a huge impact on customers.
However, Lexus hopes that occupants will be able to pay attention to the changes made to the suspension system. Engineers have made adjustments to the spring and damper levels in an effort to improve everyday comfort, while the larger anti-roll bar is designed to help regulate body roll. While the LS 500 will never become an official sports sedan, these subtle changes will allow drivers to enjoy more fun outside the car and in turn will allow the LS 500 to attract more leading sedan buyers.
In addition to improving handling, Lexus is also improving safety with the brand making Safety Sense+ 2.5 standard across the LS 500 line. This spoiler provides a number of welcome elements to the vehicle including forward collision warning, pre-collision system and automatic emergency braking. , and even pedestrian detection and bike detection software.
Shoppers who choose the Luxury or Executive packages can take advantage of the new appointment level. In this case, it’s a new aluminum foil inner package called “Haku”. The foil here is inspired by the 400-year-old Japanese gold leaf art. There are many different leaf patterns in general, but the patterns used on the LS500 are made by hammering gold leaf with a thickness of about one-tenth of a millimeter. Lexus claims the foil is too fragile to fit into the machine, carefully applying the trim to the car by hand.
Thankfully, the update doesn’t change the price of the model with the base model still starting at $77,075 (including the $1,075 destination fee) and the rest of the family climbing the price ladder accordingly. This will enable the LS 500 to confidently remain competitive with its competitors and retain some of its valuable advantages over competitors such as the BMW 7-Series, Audi A8 and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

2024 Lexus LS 500 Rumor
The Lexus Teammate family includes two important features: Advanced Drive and Advanced Park. Advanced Drive supports SAE Level 2 semi-autonomous driving, such as the Cadillac Super Cruise and Tesla Autopilot. Only Honda Legend in Japan currently offers the Level 3 system.
Lexus says the Advanced Drive is designed for access-restricted roads and supports partial hands-free and eye-free operation on the road. We haven’t tested this system yet, but it looks more advanced than what’s currently offered in the LS. Lexus hasn’t specified how long this system will support hands-free driving, so it looks like the Super Cruise still has some features.
The Advanced Park does exactly as it sounds, controlling steering, acceleration, braking and gear shifting during parking maneuvers. The system uses a 360-degree sensor combined with a bird’s eye view to parallel park or reverse in a fully automated location.
Oddly enough, Lexus decided that these new features are only available in the 2024 LS 500h with AWD, which means that RWD models won’t have them. The press release oddly didn’t mention a non-hybrid LS 500 featuring a Lexus teammate, and Sources contacted Lexus to find out why this happened.
Although not mentioned in the release, it appears that the 2024 LS will receive an all-new digital instrument cluster, replacing the existing split unit. The 2024 Lexus LS 500 and LS 500h models are expected to arrive in dealerships later this fall, so more information should come before that.
