2024 Kia Stinger Redesign
In 2024, the Stinger GT will sport a big engine in the form of a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 capable of producing 368 horsepower. This variant also offers a new electronically variable exhaust that pleases the driver when Sport mode is activated. The new 2024 Kia Stinger will likely include some other improvements that we’ll know about until its launch.

The 2024 Stinger can hit 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds, making it faster than the new 2024 BMW 330i. Estimated fuel efficiency figures for this engine top out at 22/32/25 mpg city/highway/combined for RWD models and 21/29/24 mpg in the camouflage AWD configuration, making it economical on the go, but less powerful.
Not only does the new 2024 Stinger have a more powerful engine, but the 2024 Stinger also gets a visual update featuring new DRLs for the upgraded headlights. The rear also offers full-width rear rails. The 2024 Stinger also features a new 19-inch wheel design and bolder styling that also features a new and unique exhaust tip design. There are not many changes, but they are effective, and the new Kia logo is what will distinguish the new 2024 Stinger from previous models.
2024 Kia Stinger Engine
Carrying a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6, the entire top-tier assembly hasn’t been touched. This engine is capable of producing 368 horsepower and producing 376 lb-ft of torque. Design improvements include updated exterior lighting elements, a new wheel design, and a larger exhaust tip.
Inside, the 2024 Stinger will get improved materials overall, new metal trim, adjustable ambient lighting, and an optional larger 10.3-inch infotainment screen. It was borrowed from their brother Stinger, says Vice President of Marketing Russell Wager.
Base Engine 300 Hp

Pete says the 45-hp step up for the entry-level model should attract more buyers. The 2024 Kia Stinger does not have a manual transmission, and there are no plans to add one. The Stinger has an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
The rear-wheel drive Stingray is available with all-wheel drive, torque vectoring. Prices start at $36,090 for the GT-Line entry. The 2021 Stinger starts at $34,135 – $1,955 for the difference. Pricing for the GT1 starts at $43,690, and the GT2 starts at $51,290. Both are available with AWD. The rear-wheel-drive, four-cylinder 2024 Stinger has top fuel economy ratings, with an EPA rating of 22 mpg city and 32 highway. Of course, the more powerful V-6 is less efficient, especially with all-wheel drive, expected to drop to 17 mpg city and 24 highway.
Although we didn’t test the new 2.5-liter turbo-4 on our 75-mph highway roads, which is part of our extensive testing regimen, the all-wheel-drive V-6 we evaluated produced 26 mpg in this test. . For more information on fuel economy, visit the EPA website.
The Stinger’s interior is well-designed and attractive, but the quality of materials or build can’t match that of the Audi A4 or BMW 3 Series. After all, the Kia costs significantly less than the two German sedans. Still, the Stinger offers a more comfortable rear seat than most cars in this class—and the benefits significantly outweigh the numbers indicating this.
While the interior is free of glaring flaws and omissions, the overall effect is less polished than the efforts we’ve come to enjoy from established luxury brands. The Stinger’s stated trunk size will appreciate that it has the largest cargo space in this group but it only outperformed its competitors by a small margin in real-world cargo tests.
We hoped the Stinger would do better in these dimensions with its wide hatchback hatch and long wheelbase. The center console is on the bulky side of the car, which helps make up for the fact that the front door pocket is the smallest of the bunch. The stitching on the instrument panel and the 3-Stripes on the door give it a more attractive impression. A new 10.25-inch navigation screen is standard.
Wireless charging for smartphones and tablets now gets a blind spot display that provides a live video display of the adjacent lane in the instrument cluster when activated by turn signals using the camera in the side mirror. More standard features, including more driver-assisted safety systems such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane keep assist.
Other safety features include Safe Exit Warning, an intelligent navigation-based cruise control system that slows the car when making a forward turn and lane-keeping assist to maintain the vehicle’s center.
Information, Entertainment And Communication
Kia’s infotainment system—called UVO—is put to good use in the Stinger and consists of an 8.0- or 10.3-inch touchscreen with useful physical buttons. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as is a six-speaker stereo system. Audiophiles can upgrade to a 15-speaker Harman/Kardon stereo system, and Kia also offers some other tech upgrades, like a wireless smartphone charging pad and in-dash navigation.
This spring, a special edition 2022 Stinger Scorpion will come with unique black 19-inch alloy wheels, black fenders, black mirrors, a rear spoiler (body-color), gloss black-painted exhaust tips, and carbon fiber trim on the center console. . The bookmaker saw two levels of competition for the Stinger. The most direct are German cars (Audi A5 Sportback, BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe, which is expected to return in one year, Mercedes-Benz C-Class), Japanese cars Infiniti Q50 as well as domestic second class. Rear-wheel drive cars include the Dodge Charger, Ford Mustang, and Chevrolet Camaro.
The upgraded Stinger differs from its cousin, the Genesis G70, updated for 2022, in that the two cars may share mechanics but are built for their very different brands. Kia targets young buyers who are looking for a fun, value-added vehicle with higher standards. Leather-like features, and the Stinger also distinguished itself from the new I-4. At least for now. Hopefully, we’ll see the 2.5-liter make its way to the G70 eventually.
The Facelifted 2022 Kia Stinger Gt
Kia replaced the 2.0-liter turbo with a 2.5-liter turbo as the base engine in the US as part of a facelift. The range-topping option remains the 3.3-liter V6 with some hefty slugs to steer home, and it’s slightly more powerful than ever at 368 bhp instead of 365. Torque remains at 376 lb-ft or 510 Nm from 1,300 rpm, Translation gets a bit of turbo lag on the road. Although Kia didn’t design the Stinger GT as a tape-cutter, the driver-focused sedan accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) and over a quarter mile.
Automann TVGermany had the opportunity to see the Stinger GT on a long stretch of tarmac on a sunny weekend, which meant the weather conditions were perfect for a straight-line performance. With the tachometer above 2,000 rpm, shooting to 62 mph takes 4.98 seconds and 4.49 seconds for laps one and two. 100 to 200 km/h (62 to 124 mph) takes 14.45 seconds, and the quarter-mile is finished in 13 clicks.
These numbers won’t cause straight-line fans’ blood to boil with excitement, but let’s not forget that Kia had other priorities in designing and redesigning the Stinger. Each trim level and engine selection is built for comfort, handling, and an overall experience, which can only be described as satisfying when you consider the Stinger’s MSRP.
$36,090 excluding destination fee for the four-pot engine GT-Line RWD is great value, especially when you consider the space for rear passengers. Cargo volume isn’t too shabby either at 23.3 cu ft (660 L), making the Stinger good even as a daily driver.
