2024 Audi Q9. We’ve been hearing whispers about Audi joining the full-size sector for a long time, and it appears like something is finally happening. To far, Ingolstadt has launched the full-size crossover, with the Q7 serving as the flagship model. While the model was undoubtedly enormous and opulent, the main competitors went a step further and produced a full-size model. Of course, we’re referring to the Mercedes-Benz GLS and BMW X7. Now, it appears that the Audi Q9 2024 will be a new player in the game.
At this point, not many details are known. Our test model which we believe is the new Q9 that was spotted on the road but still wears full disguise. However, we can easily expect some basic design solutions, such as the platform, overall shape, powertrain, interior, etc. Officials remained silent. Although there are no details, many believe that the Audi Q9 2024 could actually hit the market. Next year.
2024 Audi Q9 Redesign
As we just mentioned, the company has hidden details about the Audi Q9 2024, so we can only speculate. However, some things are pretty predictable and one of the first things that comes to mind is the platform. Of course, this crossover will be based on proven design solutions that we will see in the famous MLB architecture. The overall design approach will be very similar to the Q7 and Q8, but we’ll also see some improvements.
Of course, the next first upgrade is an order of magnitude. We’ll take a look at the extended wheelbase, which will likely come in at around 121 inches. Other dimensions will grow as well.
2024 Audi Q9 Exterior
Like we said, the first thing that comes to mind is size and this model will fit full size dimensions. On the other hand, the overall look shouldn’t be much different than the Q7. We adopt trolley-like structure, which promises large space and practical inside.
In terms of style, we assume that the Audi Q9 2024 will be adapted to the brand’s latest design language. We expect the most similarities to the Q8, which is the newest SUV in the lineup. This means lots of sharp shapes and sharp lines, which makes the crossover look bold and attractive. When we talk about future flagship models, there is no doubt that a number of exclusive design details are coming as well. At this point, it is too early to talk about such details.
2024 Audi Q9 Interior Rumors
Audi knows how to create a great interior and we have no doubts that the 2024 Audi Q9 will look good in that aspect too. When it comes to the dashboard, we assume it will be very similar to the new A8, which means you can count on a combination of classic design solutions and a lot of high-tech elements. Usually for an Audi, the build quality should be very good.
Of course, one of the biggest strengths of this cabin is the amount of space. Without a doubt, three rows of seating will be standard. While the first two rows will undoubtedly be very roomy and comfortable, we also didn’t expect to see the third row too narrow. The shipping area should provide a respectable number as well.
2024 Audi Q9 Powertrain Specification
This aspect certainly will not bring any surprises. We expect to see a 2024 Audi Q9 equipped with familiar units, starting with the good old 3.0-liter V6, which produces around 335 horsepower. Of course, the higher trim levels will be equipped with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, which will also power the RS version of its most powerful variant. This version of the engine should be good for around 600 horsepower.
We also have no doubt that Audi will continue the diesel engine in Europe. Both V6 and V8 units are expected. Finally, we rely on electricity. A hybrid version of the plug-ins should be offered in different parts of the world. Of course, all engines will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
2024 Audi Q9 Release date And Price
Currently, the officers remain silent. On the other hand, we’re hearing a lot of rumors that a new full-size crossover could arrive sometime next year. The 2024 Audi Q9 price is also a mystery, but we may assume that the price will be very similar to that of the competing model. That translates to between $75,000 and $80,000 for the base model. Speaking of competition, the main competitors are BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.

2024 Audi Q9 Update
Unlike its competitors, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, who have been present in the full-size SUV segment for years, Audi still cannot compete in this category. However, this may soon change, as recent reports indicate that the Audi Q9 2024 is on its way. This should be the brand’s new flagship model, which will rival models like the X7 and GLS. At this point, most details are still unknown, so we can only speculate.
While Ingolstadt tries to keep most details private, we know the test model has been on the road for a while. Of course, you’re still wearing camouflage, but some details can be seen. Moreover, we assume that the mechanical aspect will not differ significantly compared to its mid-sized sibling, especially with regard to the platform. Finally, the engine lineup should bring no surprises.
While some sources believe this model could arrive by the end of this year, we think next year looks more likely.
Redesigned Audi Q9 2024
In terms of basic design features, we don’t expect any surprises. This model will use the familiar MLB platform, which beat its smaller sibling like the Q7 and Q8. Of course, she’ll stretch for the occasion, catering to full size sizes. The wheelbase will be longer and we’re expecting a segment model, which is currently around 121 inches between the axles. Of course, other dimensions will be added as well.
The chassis setup is where we expect to see improvements. This mainly refers to the suspension setup, and we have no doubts that many solutions will be borrowed from its more upscale relatives, such as the Bentley Bentayga. Of course, adjustable air suspension should be on the list of standard features.
The Outer Part
In terms of styling and overall exterior styling, the Test Mules still wear heavy camouflage, so it’s hard to go into detail. On the other hand, we can talk about basic things, such as the general shape. For example, we can see that the body shape is very similar to the Q7 model. This wagon-like body is here, only in a larger package.
Also, it’s very easy to conclude that Audi is not going to pilot this model. As this will be the new flagship model, we’d expect nothing more than a proven aesthetic solution, largely borrowed from the Q8. This mainly refers to the front face, which will use the same technique, with all the sharp lines and shapes. Of course, there is always room for exclusive details, and as a flagship model, the Audi Q9 2024 is sure to come with a few of them.
This aspect certainly will not bring any bigger surprises. Audi knows how to create excellent interiors and the Audi Q9 2024 should be no different. We assume that designers will use the proven recipes that we can see on models like the A8 and Q8, which are mostly about fusing conservative shapes with modern technological features. As usual, we rely on premium quality materials and excellent build quality.
In addition to its luxurious design, this cabin will also feel spacious and practical. With a wheelbase of about 121 inches, we’re sure there will be plenty of room for passengers. Other than that, we expect the 3rd row to be adult-friendly, which was not the case in Q7. The same goes for the cargo area, which boasts an below-average rating for its midsize sibling.
Audi Q9 2024 Engine
We’re counting on the familiar engine options in the 2024 Audi Q9 offering. So, the base version should come with the familiar 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, which produces around 335 horsepower. We’re also based on the popular RS version, and this model will have a 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine with around 600 horsepower.
A hybrid version is also expected, while we have no doubts that the European version will also be offered in a diesel version. This refers to the V6 and V8 units.
Audi Q9 2024 Release Date And Price
As mentioned earlier, some people believe that the Audi Q9 2024 could actually arrive by the end of this year. However, next year seems more likely to us. When it comes to price, we’re based on model numbers for the class, which means the base model should be around $75/80,000.

2024 Audi Q9 Rumor
The Audi Q9 is one of the largest projects undertaken by the German automaker. The manufacturer acquired the rights to the entire Q1-Q9 range and now it is only a matter of time when the set will be completed. The Q4 should be an electric SUV based on E-Tron technology. It wouldn’t be too big. But, on the other side of the lineup, expect to see a luxury full-size SUV, rivaling the BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS. This move wasn’t too easy, as the chapter didn’t achieve the sales that could have put Q9 at the top of the charts. However, it is clear that the advantages received by Audi made the leaders quick to make a decision.
A few things we can guess about the Audi Q9. The car will likely be part of the full-size segment, being larger than the Q7 and Q8. An SUV of this size requires a lot of power. Its main competitor will use an eight-cylinder engine. A 4.0-liter engine is already available and we can see a different configuration of the Q9. The RS version, or SQ9, may reach a rating of 600 horsepower, like the competitor mentioned above.
We still have no idea what the Q9 will look like. Well, this is still a rumor and the company needs to come up with some kind of concept to see how it reacts. However, the new model won’t radically change what fans can see now. The grille and big wheels are the exterior. Inside, the cockpit will offer three rows of seats. Safety is key, while the MMI infotainment system is among the best in its class. However, unique upgrades and additions will make this SUV even more distinct and attractive than its brethren.
Audi Q9 Specifications, Engine, E-Tron
A V8 is the only option we’ll accept for the upcoming Audi Q9. The company may install a six-cylinder unit for an entry-level SUV. However, this configuration will not be competitive. Just take a look at its competitors and you’ll see that the full-size luxury SUV delivers quite a bit of power. Therefore, to attract attention, more than 400 horses had to be placed under the hood. The 4.0-liter displacement we had in the Porsche Cayenne GTS was the perfect choice with 450 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The partner company also offers its popular SUV with some of the most interesting configurations. However, it is questionable how this will fit into the larger and heavier Q9. For example, the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 produces 434 hp, while the E-Hybrid version produces 455 hp and 515 lb-ft. Latecomers are actually possible.
But the 4.0 liter plant is definitely a favourite. Audi is already using it for the RS7 sports car, with the engine producing nearly 600 horsepower. However, there is another setting. The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid is one of the most powerful SUVs on the market, and the SQ9 or Q9 RS could be in the top ten on this list. Of course, some configurations get support from systems based on the E-Tron platform. However, the fully electric model won’t be coming out anytime soon.
What Will The Audi Q9 Look Like?
With a total body length of over 200 inches, the Audi Q9 will be the largest SUV by the German automaker. The Q8 concept will come out first, but it won’t hold this position for long. Audi recently launched several restyled models and the new unit may take some of its solutions from its sister. The grille and fascia design solutions are attractive and fans can already imagine the Q9 wearing a mask similar to the Q5 or Q7. However, we will have to wait, because the release date of the SUV has not yet been set. If that happens in a couple of years or so, a lot of things will change.
At the moment, the MMI system has many advanced options. But in a year or so, it will need an update. Audi wants to make driving more independent. The SUV will have seven seats, with the option of a captain’s seat in the middle row. There will be many surprises prepared for the newcomer. We assume that the cargo space will be increased, while the towing capacity will be more than 7,500 pounds.
Release Date Not Specified, Price Can Be Estimated
It looks like Audi hasn’t planned to produce the Q9 yet. However, the company needed such a car to compete with its competitors. Rest assured that it won’t be long before the manufacturer at least releases the concept. The MSRP will be no less than $75,000 and that’s the mark we’re seeing for a six-cylinder unit model. When the Audi Q9 gets the V8, its price will start above $90,000 while the performance unit will be 600 horsepower in the six-figure waters.
