2024 Acura RDX Rumors Redesign Reviews

2024 Acura RDX. A prototype of the forthcoming 2024 Acura RDX has been tested; it boasts a more appealing design than the outgoing model. Unfortunately, the disguised model only shows minor cosmetic improvements. The interior of the new RDX will also be more comfy, and the front and back fascias will have been updated.
Additionally, Acura uses a familiar 2.0-liter turbo-four with 270 horsepower. The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and drives the front wheels as standard, or all four if desired. According to various sources, we can expect this amazing SUV to debut in the first half of next year.
2024 Acura RDX Redesign
The first images of the new 2024 Acura RDX are out now, and we’re seeing some changes coming soon. Overall, the design has been much improved, with redesigned SUVs coming front and rear. The distinctive “floating roof” can be seen at a glance. This is a common move today and you can see it on a number of SUVs from different manufacturers. In the rear, the RDX features a new, squared-off exhaust tip.
In either case, it has not been confirmed whether the Type S performance treatment will be used in the next model. As you know, Acura says that almost every future model will offer the popular S-Type treatment.
2024 Acura RDX Interior Rumors
The upcoming 2024 Acura RDX is a two-row, five-seater SUV with a spacious interior. Overall, it provides enough space for passengers and their luggage. The front seats provide above-average support, and rear passengers won’t complain about legroom or headroom. Surprisingly, the space behind the rear seats is 31.2 cubic feet, which can be increased to 79.9 cubic feet when the seats are folded flat.
RDX combines technology, style and premium design. A more favorable impression is the 10.2-inch HD infotainment screen, using Acura’s True Touchpad interface. The RDX trim offers many luxuries, including leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and power-adjustable features.
2024 Acura RDX Powertrain Specification
The 2024 Acura RDX is an SUV with only one engine option. This model is only available with the 2.0-liter turbo four, which produces up to 272 horsepower. The engine is mated to a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive is used as standard or all-wheel drive as an option.
A new hybrid system, similar to previous RLX premium cars, is another option. This system uses three motors that provide power to a rear- or all-wheel drive system. It has a towing capacity of only 1,500 pounds, which isn’t very impressive. Even the Lexus NX, which is far from the best model in its class, can tow much more than that.
2024 Acura RDX Release Date And Price
The all-new 2024 Acura RDX will likely be introduced next summer, with some upgrades. Also, there’s a good chance an RDX Type S will happen. The current model is under $40,000, and newer models cost a bit more.

2024 Acura RDX Update
Four years after entering the market, the luxury compact crossover is ready for a restyling. Small changes are all we’ve seen in the past few seasons. Now, a bigger dose of modification, inside and out. Enthusiasts are still looking for an additional engine lineup. Turbo-four is very powerful. However, the 2024 Acura RDX will offer a new configuration. The hybrid model is a logical choice, but we still don’t know what kind of setup the compact SUV could apply. With the Type S back in business, experts are speculating which model will get this kind of package. RDX is one of my favourites.
There are many reasons why you should wait for YM 2024 if you intend to buy this crossover. First of all, it will be new, compared to this season’s carry-over. Acura will do everything possible to retain preferred features and fix all issues with the vehicle. The 2024 Acura RDX will be a luxury car, and it will be priced accordingly. However, the company has been criticized for not having a prestige copy. The Type S can fix that. The price is okay, and the buyer gets a lot of equipment. However, any additional options will require the purchase of the entire package.
2024 Acura RDX Hybrid and Type S
Two hot rumors. The 2024 Acura RDX Type S will always be interesting because of the improvements this package brings. For a long time, it was not produced. Until a few months ago, Acura offered the TLX and MDX with this package. It didn’t take long for the experts to start bidding on who would be next. RDX belongs to the popular compact SUV class. Plus, crossovers need to have more options under the hood. On the other hand, the current configuration is very powerful with 270 hp. As mentioned, the RDX needs a prestige version to compete with the German premium crossover. The Type S will not use the Mercedes-AMG and BMW M versions with 500 hp.
Another must-have drive system is the hybrid. Most competitors already use this type of configuration to increase power and fuel consumption. It’s a wonder why the RDX doesn’t borrow setup from its not so premium brother, the Honda CR-V. Engineers have made it one of the most efficient on the market, at 42 mpg. The 2024 Acura RDX Hybrid will definitely need more power than the CR-V crossover. The Type S may also be a hybrid version of the existing machine, giving it a total output of just over 300 pounds.
Standard Drive, SH-AWD
Under the hood of the 2024 Acura RDX will still be a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The output will surprise most fans. The compact crossover is poised to crack 270 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. This is not surprising for the luxury segment. However, many other automakers use similar configurations for their entry-level models. Top-end options are usually above 300 HP. It could make the Type S or the RDX Hybrid do the same.
A ten-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive are standard. However, all owners will recommend Superior All Wheel Handling (SH-AWD). This is a $2,000 investment. Fuel mileage is not affected much. With all-wheel drive, the crossover produces 24 mpg, while the standard setting delivers 1 mile more.
Equipment, Packages And Prices
The base model 2024 Acura RDX will come with several standard options. Well, the $38,000 price tag means this is no ordinary crossover. Highlights include a set of 19-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 10-inch screen, and AcuraWatch security. Of course, there are many other features available even in the basic version. We’ll see what kind of packages the new RDX will offer. Well, the specification A is the most popular upgrade, not just in compact crossovers. Larger wheels, ventilated seats, and leather seats are notable additions. Advance is the high-end package which has the most impressive features. The technology package adds good equipment at an affordable cost.

2024 Acura RDX Rumor
Small luxury crossovers are one of the most competitive segments in the market and the Japanese manufacturer will certainly want to maintain the strong position the RDX enjoys. So, it’s no surprise that the 2024 Acura RDX comes with a major update. We’ll see mid-cycle updates, even if the current generation has been around for less than three years. A test model has been spotted and we expect to see a distinctive facelift. Apart from visual updates, we may see some changes from the inside, while rumors of a hybrid version are also being heard.
All of these new things will certainly make the SUV more attractive, but the overall design will remain the same. Therefore, you can count on the familiar characteristics that make this model one of the best options in its class. It offers precise and engaging handling, a powerful four-turbocharged engine, a spacious and well-appointed cabin and much more. We expect to see an updated model in the second half of this year.
2024 Acura RDX Facelift
As we already mentioned, the 2024 Acura RDX test mule is already on the road. He’s wearing camouflage clothing, so we can’t go into too much detail. However, the areas covered clearly indicate where changes are expected to occur. Naturally, most of them will happen in the foreground. However, keep in mind that the current model already looks very attractive and follows almost entirely the brand’s design language. So, the best we can see are things like new bumpers, new grille pattern, etc.
At the rear, we expect to see a new bumper. Moving forward, we can already see the new exhaust system, which now uses rectangular tailpipes, which wasn’t the case before. Naturally, we should see other updates in the middle of the model cycle, such as new color options, new wheels, and so on.
Remote Areas
The internal changes won’t be that big. The spy photographer couldn’t get us any pictures of the inside, but we’re sure it will stay the same for the most part. This crossover really has a very nice interior, which combines attractive dashboard design and high-quality materials. The best we can see for next year is anything new in terms of the new color scheme. Anything more than that would be a real surprise.
Of course, the basic cabin layout will remain the same. We’ll take a look at the spacious cabin, which can easily accommodate five adults. We really like the driving mode, and it’s excellent. The cargo area is also very good for the segment. You can count on about 29.5 cubic feet behind the second row and about 59 cubic feet behind the first row. That’s above average for a compact luxury SUV.
Advantage
Naturally, this update will bring some new things in terms of new standards and available features. At this point, we still don’t know the details, but we assume that the update won’t be that big. Simply put, the current model is very good in this aspect. It comes standard with tech goodies like dual-zone climate control, push-button start, panoramic sunroof, 10.2-inch display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Siri Eyes Free, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot, HD Radio, satellite radio Industrial, two USB ports, a nine-speaker stereo system, voice recognition, and AcuraLink, which allows you to connect to the RDX via your smartphone, etc.
Possible add-ons are currently in the list of options. Some of the highlights are items like navigation, two rear-seat USB ports, a 12-speaker premium audio system, a 16-speaker premium surround sound system, and a 10.5-inch display. Some of these are likely to become standards.
2024 Acura RDX Engine
As mentioned, there are several rumors suggesting a hybrid version will be added to the 2024 Acura RDX. We assume it will be the same or similar system to that found in the Accord Hybrid, which is based on a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Unfortunately, the officials are still silent about this, so the real chances of seeing such a copy are not very great.
The standard model, on the other hand, will continue in the same vein, featuring a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine that makes 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The whole set works well and feels smooth. In terms of fuel economy, you can count on around 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, which is pretty typical for the segment.
2024 Acura RDX Release Date And Price
The exact launch date for the 2024 Acura RDX has not been announced but we expect it to hit the market in the second half of this year. No larger price increase is expected, so the base model should come in at around $39,000. Competition in this segment is very tight. Some of the major players are models like BMW X3, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, etc.
