Acura will do everything possible to retain preferred features and fix all issues with the vehicle. The 2024 Acura RDX will be a luxury car, and it will be priced accordingly. However, the company has been criticized for not having a prestige copy. The Type S can fix that. The price is okay, and the buyer gets a lot of equipment. However, any additional options will require the purchase of the entire package.
2024 Acura RDX Hybrid and Type S

2024 Acura RDX Rumor
Small luxury crossovers are one of the most competitive segments in the market and the Japanese manufacturer will certainly want to maintain the strong position the RDX enjoys. So, it’s no surprise that the 2024 Acura RDX comes with a major update. We’ll see mid-cycle updates, even if the current generation has been around for less than three years. A test model has been spotted and we expect to see a distinctive facelift. Apart from visual updates, we may see some changes from the inside, while rumors of a hybrid version are also being heard.
All of these new things will certainly make the SUV more attractive, but the overall design will remain the same. 2024 Acura RDX Facelift
As we already mentioned, the 2024 Acura RDX test mule is already on the road. He’s wearing camouflage clothing, so we can’t go into too much detail. However, the areas covered clearly indicate where changes are expected to occur. Naturally, most of them will happen in the foreground. However, keep in mind that the current model already looks very attractive and follows almost entirely the brand’s design language. So, the best we can see are things like new bumpers, new grille pattern, etc.

Of course, the basic cabin layout will remain the same. We’ll take a look at the spacious cabin, which can easily accommodate five adults. We really like the driving mode, and it’s excellent. The cargo area is also very good for the segment. You can count on about 29.5 cubic feet behind the second row and about 59 cubic feet behind the first row. That’s above average for a compact luxury SUV.
Advantage
Naturally, this update will bring some new things in terms of new standards and available features. At this point, we still don’t know the details, but we assume that the update won’t be that big. Simply put, the current model is very good in this aspect. It comes standard with tech goodies like dual-zone climate control, push-button start, panoramic sunroof, 10.2-inch display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Siri Eyes Free, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot, HD Radio, satellite radio Industrial, two USB ports, a nine-speaker stereo system, voice recognition, and AcuraLink, which allows you to connect to the RDX via your smartphone, etc.
Possible add-ons are currently in the list of options. Some of the highlights are items like navigation, two rear-seat USB ports, a 12-speaker premium audio system, a 16-speaker premium surround sound system, and a 10.5-inch display. Some of these are likely to become standards.
2024 Acura RDX Engine
As mentioned, there are several rumors suggesting a hybrid version will be added to the 2024 Acura RDX. We assume it will be the same or similar system to that found in the Accord Hybrid, which is based on a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Unfortunately, the officials are still silent about this, so the real chances of seeing such a copy are not very great.

The whole set works well and feels smooth. In terms of fuel economy, you can count on around 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway, which is pretty typical for the segment.

The exact launch date for the 2024 Acura RDX has not been announced but we expect it to hit the market in the second half of this year. No larger price increase is expected, so the base model should come in at around $39,000. Competition in this segment is very tight.
