Controversial, though not yet certain, is that this soft-topped roadster is expected to replace the Ford Fusion sedan once it’s launched next year. Remember, the Mustang will be the only non-SUV, pickup, or pickup truck in Ford’s North American lineup for the next decade.

There are rumors that Ford plans to keep the Fusion name or the variation used here, so don’t be surprised if the mystery car is flagged as something like the Fusion Active. However, pay close attention to the presentation. Are you really thinking of having a more convenient car in your rental fleet than Escape or Explorer? 2023 Ford Fusion Rumor

Ford engineers have been spotted with a prototype of the restyled Fusion sedan. Previously thought to be a hatchback being marketed as a Fusion Active in the US, recent spy footage reveals that the car is a traditional sedan.
