2023 BMW X1 The Reviews New
The 2023 BMW X1 is in testing and the latest spy photos reveal a much nicer design. As you know, this small crossover SUV is one of the most compact models in its class, and it looks handsome with a new design look.
Even in high camouflage, we noticed a redesign that would give a bolder look than the current model. At first glance, the X1 prototype appears wider, with a more attractive shark nose grill. However, the rest of the design appears to be an evolution of the current model. According to BMW, the upcoming X1 will run on the new FAAR platform, an updated UKL platform that supports the current X1.
2023 BMW X1 changes
The highly anticipated 2023 BMW X1 will use a new platform featuring BMW’s latest front-wheel drive architecture, designed for compact cars. This platform is known as FAAR and it is an updated version of the existing UKL platform. It debuted in late 2019 and was first used in a restyled 1 Series hatchback, and later appeared in the 2 Series Gran Coupe.
The biggest change from the current one is that it could include battery electric powertrains. In terms of design, the new 2023 BMW X1 is much bolder than the current model. It looks wider, with a more attractive shark nose net.
2023 BMW X1 Interior First look
Unfortunately, there is no statement on what to expect inside. There’s one spy photo in it, but we don’t know what’s new because of the camouflaged dashboard.
According to some gossip, the manufacturer will add a new virtual cockpit and a much larger infotainment system as standard equipment compared to the current 8.8-inch screen. We can also expect standard USB-C ports, Bluetooth audio streaming/phone connectivity, an Apple CarPlay smartphone, and Android Auto integration. The M Sport package adds even more luxury, such as the sporty front seats, carbon detailing and additional M badges.
2023 BMW X1 Engine Specifications:
As we said at the beginning, the new 2023 BMW X1 will run on the new FAAR platform, an update to the UKL platform that underpins the current X1. Officials say the main change is that there will be an optional battery-electric powertrain. The electric X1 will probably be called the iX1. As far as is known, the manufacturer will present at least 13 models of electric batteries by the end of 2023.

Incidentally, the BMW X1 will also arrive with other powertrain options, including 1.5-liter inline-3 and 2.0-liter inline-4 engines, both of which are turbocharged. Mild hybrid technology will also be offered, as an additional hybrid variety.
2023 BMW X1 Release date
The new 2023 BMW X1 is likely to arrive sometime next year with moderate upgrades. Many believe that it will be available for purchase before the fall. As mentioned, BMW is working on releasing no fewer than 13 battery electric models by the end of 2023, the first of which will be the upcoming iX1.
We doubt that the upcoming 2023 BMW X1 will remain in the range as its predecessor. The current front-wheel drive version will cost about $36,000, while the all-wheel drive will likely cost more than a thousand dollars. For the electrified iX1, the starting price of $50,000 seems acceptable to compete with other models.
