2023 BMW 3-Series Rumors Redesign Reviews

2023 BMW 3-Series. The upcoming BMW 3 Series 2023 has been shown with a new design that includes a sloping front bumper and thinner LED headlights. Aside from cosmetic enhancements, this new model will also receive inside modifications. According to the earliest photos, the 2018 BMW 3 Series will have a curved screen with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment screen.
However, some good things remain, and hopefully the engine lineup will continue. The current 330i uses a four-cylinder engine, while the 330e comes with a four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor. The most powerful M340i is also powered by the same inline six.
2023 BMW 3-Series Redesign
The just-revealed BMW 3-Series 2023 looks fresher, and has a more aggressive look. Dominated by the new and larger kidney grille, as well as with new headlights. The BMW 3-Series comes standard with stylish 18-inch alloy wheels, and we love the new Skyscraper Gray.
However, for the M Sport package you get unique 19-inch alloy wheels and adaptive M suspension with electronic dampers. The rear of the sedan is attractive, too, and we like the new taillights, which are a little thinner than before. The redesigned rear fascia also includes vertically oriented reflectors mounted on the black body.
2023 BMW 3-Series Interior Rumors
Inside, the 2023 BMW 3-Series will receive a complete restyling. It is said that this new model will offer a sporty interior and many new technologies. As we noted in the first official image, the upcoming model has a curved screen that includes a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a large 14.9-inch infotainment screen.
As with other BMW models, the manufacturer reduced the number of buttons and controls, and added touch and volume controls. 5G connectivity is also available, supporting up to 10 digital devices. The air vents have also been redesigned, giving it a sportier look, like the gear shift knob with a small lever.
2023 BMW 3-Series Powertrain Specification
Under the hood, the BMW 3-Series 2023 range of engines remains the same. This means that we can expect the base 330i to have a 2.0-liter inboard-turbocharged four-wheel drive with 255 horsepower. The 330e Hybrid comes with the same four inline but paired with an electric motor.
Combined, it produces 288 horsepower and provides 23 miles of all-electric range. The most powerful version is the M340i, and it uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline engine with 48V hybrid technology. In contrast to the above model, this model produces the most powerful 382 horsepower. All engines come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an optional all-wheel drive system is available.
2023 BMW 3-Series Release date
The 2023 BMW 3-Series will debut in the United States in July of this year. We have to agree, the new sedan looks better than before. It has a very attractive and sharp design and a revised interior design. Pricing details for this sedan aren’t available yet, but we expect it to be closer to the sale date. The 330i currently starts at $42,445, and the M340i at $55,695. So expect the updated model to cost a few thousand dollars more.

2023 BMW 3-Series Update
BMW has been spotted testing a prototype of the updated 3-Series. The update is a mid-cycle refresh of the current 3 Series, which first arrived in 2018 as a 2019 model. In BMW tradition, we should see the updated car arrive in 2022 as a 2023 model.
The current 3 Series, the G20 generation, is indeed a great car and fortunately BMW won’t tamper with its design. It looks like there will be some minor changes to the interior of the headlights, along with new grille inserts and new fascia front and rear.
There is a more substantial update linked to the interior as we will see BMW introduce an updated version of its iDrive infotainment system. The latest system, version 8.0, features a larger screen and you might see the 3-Series dashboard revised to match that of the new i4 2022 power hatch (shown below).
Speaking of electric cars, the updated 3 Series will feature its own electric option that will replace the i3 panel now that production of the i3 electric city car has ended. We expect the 3-electric series to match the i4 spec, which means an 83.9 kWh battery and a maximum range of close to 300 miles.
It’s unclear what’s available for the current class of 3-Series powertrains. The base option in the US should still be the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine rated at around 248 hp. On top of that, there should be a 3.0-liter inline-six producing around 382 hp, this time paired with a mild-hybrid system that temporarily adds 11 hp. Both feature the updated 2022 X3 powertrains.
The M3 should receive many of the changes associated with the regular 3 Series, although its powertrain is not expected to change. The current M3 has a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 engine that develops 473 hp in standard mode and 503 hp in the M3 competition mode. The first M3 buggy will also be released as part of this update, though unfortunately not in the US.
Sedan sales may be on the decline but the 3 Series remains a vital model in BMW’s lineup. Here in the US, this car still averages over 40,000 sales each year and we think the updated car will still be just as popular.
