2022 Toyota Sequoia the Reviews
One of the longest-lived SUVs in the US, the Toyota Sequoia, is ready for another facelift. The new 2022 Toyota Sequoia has been confirmed and some offers are available.
If you did not know, the first Sequoia was launched in 2000 as 2022 Toyota Sequoia, and the second and second generation were launched in 2007. Ten years later, the manufacturer gave this SUV a new look and made it one of the best in its class. However, the latest Sequoia model has a new and more attractive design, with many novelties. In addition to the exterior upgrades, expect a more comfortable cabin with more tech gadgets.
2022 Toyota Sequoia Exterior
First of all, 2022 Toyota Sequoia looks fresh and bold. In general, some slight changes appear in the style, reflecting the old structure. The new Toyota Sequoia will continue to use the rigid body structure on the frame and the same proportions.
The current generation is more than 12 years old and the manufacturer is finally converting it. The styling changes are there and the Sequoia comes with a revised front end, a better grille with more chrome, and new headlights/rear lights installed. Also, the profile reveals sharper lines and the fenders have more character.

2022 Toyota Sequoia Interior upgrades
The interior of the 2022 Toyota Sequoia is the most mysterious part. From what we’ve heard, the new model will continue in the same five trim levels, including the SR5, TRD Sport, Limited, TRD Pro and Platinum. In general, there is no need to worry in this department, because the cabin is the highlight of this SUV. Toyota Sequoia SUV is a true third-row seat and offers enough space for seven passengers.
In addition, the cheapest equipment includes a very long list of amenities. This version has a 6.1-inch touchscreen, 8-position driver and 4-way passenger seat, 3-zone climate control and a sunroof, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and Amazon Alexa compatibility also standard. However, the next-generation 2022 Toyota Sequoia can get the same infotainment system as the Tundra pickup and more standard tech.
2022 Toyota Sequoia safety
The safety features of the Sequoia are one of the best. This model comes with blind spot monitoring, collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane warning, and adaptive cruise control.
2022 Toyota Sequoia Powertrain Details
The upcoming 2022 Toyota Sequoia is a huge SUV that needs a powerful engine. Some early reports indicate that the next generation Sequoia will likely use the same engine as the previous one. This model uses a 5.7L V8 engine derived from Lexus as the only option. This engine allows this SUV to deliver a V8 with 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque.
However, there may be some changes in this section, and according to the latest news, the old six-speed automatic transmission may be replaced with a new one. The TRD Pro model is also available and comes with all-wheel drive as standard, while all other finishes are powered by its rear wheels and offer all-wheel drive as an option.
2022 Toyota Sequoia Towing
For towing, the Sequoia can tow up to 7,400 pounds, thanks to its powerful V8 engine. Overall, that’s excellent, but nowhere near the Ford Expedition’s 9,300-pound figure.
2022 Toyota Sequoia Release date and price
The Japanese manufacturer has confirmed that 2022 Toyota Sequoia is expected to arrive at the end of 2021. Some offers are available and the next generation has a more attractive design.
As for the price, do not expect an increase. The current base model costs $51,300, while the TRD Pro comes standard with all-wheel drive starting at $65,425. The closest competitors in the same segment are the Nissan Armada, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon.
