After months of speculation, news has just arrived that the 2022 Subaru BRZ will be presented this fall alongside the Toyota 86 twin. From what we’ve heard, the next generation model should arrive in the US sometime next year.

The Subaru BRZ finally got its first restyling since it debuted in 2012. Right now, we’ve got plenty of info and a disturbing new photo that reveals the car’s new 10-spoke wheel. In addition, this model is expected to be powered by a 2.4-liter flat-four engine. It should either be using a turbocharger to produce around 260 hp or a naturally aspirated producing 217 hp.

The new 2022 Subaru BRZ now comes with attractive LED headlights and a refreshed honeycomb grille. The profile shares the same lines with sleek wheels, vertical side intakes and lower front fenders. In addition, there are some subtle changes taking place in the back. New LED taillights with a horizontal stripe across the entire width to emphasize width and in the end the manufacturer added an integrated lip spoiler.

The interior of the 2022 Subaru BRZ should remain sporty with a few minor updates. But as you probably know, the interior of this model is definitely not their strong point. By that, we mean that it doesn’t suffer from the same level of fatigue as its competitor, the Nissan 370Z. However, as we said, some minor updates are expected and buyers will get a better luxury cabin with more quality materials. Subaru could also use the new infotainment and connectivity system found in the recently introduced Outback.
