As we just mentioned, its fourth year of production is when Subaru typically brings in a bit more updates than usual. Many are expecting the 2022 Subaru Ascent to come with two notable updates. There is the possibility to see the news in terms of style. However, you should keep in mind that this Japanese plant is very conservative when it comes to beauty. So we definitely won’t see much of the notable news. A couple of modifications to the front end, along with new color and wheel options, are what we expect to see on the 2022 Subaru Ascent.

On the other hand, the overall design will remain the same. We’re about to see the same mechanics, based on Subaru’s new modular architecture. You can count on 17.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the last row, 47.5 cubic feet behind the second row and 86.5 cubic feet behind the first row seats. We have to mention that the electric tailgate is standard.

We’ll likely see some novelties in terms of standard equipment, but we also think most things will remain the same. Quite simply, the current model is really strong in this respect. It comes standard with things like a 6.5-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, six speakers, satellite radio, Bluetooth, four USB ports, three-zone automatic climate control, and more. It has a larger 8-inch touchscreen, plus a Wi-Fi hotspot, two USB ports in the third row, a navigation system and a premium audio system.

Things are even more impressive in terms of safety, as the current model comes standard with items such as automatic forward emergency braking, pre-collision throttle control, adaptive cruise control, lane centering, lane-keeping assistance, steer-responsive LED headlights, light Auto Shift, Lane Departure & Rollover Warning, Rearview Camera, Rear Seat Reminder, etc. View mirror camera, front view camera, and LED fog lights. We assume some of them will become standard for the 2022 Subaru Ascent.

2022 Subaru Ascent release date and price

We expect the 2022 Subaru Ascent to hit the market sometime in the second half of 2021. We don’t expect a major price increase, so the base models should be around $ 32,500. Some of the major competitors are models like Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Nissan Pathfinder, etc.
