2022 Porsche Macan, EV the Reviews
The new 2022 Porsche Macan is on the way. The last time this SUV got any kind of update was in 2018. And now a new improvement will help the Macan to compete with the Jaguar F-Pace and Mercedes-Benz GLC models. The Macan has been around since 2014 and is the brand’s best-selling model. However, the next generation of Macan is just around the corner. The new generation will have an all-electric powertrain. It is clear that Porsche does not want to lose sales, so the current generation will live for a few more years.
Spyshots are available and some upgrades are visible at first glance. Yes, a 911 is what everyone wants, but the Macan SUV sells the best. This model has been updated twice so far and the upcoming model will share the base with the Audi Q5. As mentioned, the Macan EV works as well and Porsche will soon abandon its traditional engine options.
2022 Porsche Macan Spy Shot
Recently, the 2022 Porsche Macan was spied in Germany. Heavy camouflage clearly indicates that some changes are significant. And while we can’t see any new exterior features, some experts believe the fenders have been embossed to better match the Cayenne’s design.
Not surprisingly, McCann and Cayenne have many things in common. However, the new 2022 Porsche Macan gets an improved headlight graphic, new side skirts and a tailgate-mounted spoiler. Expect new paint colors and Porsche will certainly offer new optional wheels and much more.

2022 Porsche Macan Interior changes
Even some internal updates are visible on this footage. The 2022 Porsche Macan will be improved, especially in terms of the infotainment system. According to Porsche, the new Macan will be more technically updated so that it can compete with other models with the latest systems. This also includes many driving aids.
Knowing this, 2022 Porsche Macan will have improved security, but most of the new features will be optional. We don’t know if the rest of the cabin will change dramatically. The spy photos show the same interior, with the same layout, screens and even trim.
Macan Turbo and Macan EV specifications
As for the engine setting, nothing changes. The upcoming 2022 Porsche Macan will continue to offer the same powertrain options. The base engine is a four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 241 hp. On the other hand, the high-end Macan Turbo comes with a 2.9-liter V6 with 434 horsepower. Interestingly, the first engine from the Volkswagen Group and the optional unit is present in the new Audi RS4 Avant.
An all-electric powertrain will completely transform this SUV. Either way, there’s a good chance Porsche will ditch all combustion engines in the next two or three years. The Macan EV will deploy the PPE platform and will provide approximately 480 kilometers of all-electric range on a single charge. However, exact specifications are not yet available.

2022 Porsche Macan EV
The new 2022 Porsche Macan EV is coming, and we’ve just received the first images confirming that claim. Porsche has inadvertently released a new batch of photos, giving us a taste of what the upcoming model will look like.
The upcoming all-German SUV, the 2022 Porsche Macan EV, will debut sometime next year, becoming the second electric vehicle in the Porsche lineup. As you probably know, Porsche’s first all-electric model is the futuristic Taycan. So expect the upcoming Macan EV to share a lot of cues with it, and could use a similar electrical system.
2022 Porsche Macan EV Design
In terms of design, the highly anticipated 2022 Porsche Macan EV spy photos reveal some changes from the regular model. As previously mentioned, the upcoming Macan EV will be the first SUV to use the company’s new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) system. Interestingly enough, this platform is an analogue of the current MLB platform for McCann. Compared with the Taycan using the J1 platform, the PPE is built on a completely different architecture.
At first glance, the next-generation Macan EV will have a smoother front bumper and slimmer headlights than the current Macan. Spy photos also show that the EV will also adopt a more coupe-like silhouette. On the other hand, the rear of the EV model reveals a new rear lighting system and a single exhaust system on both sides.
2022 Porsche Macan EV Excellent cabin
Expect the new 2022 Porsche Macan EV to look modern, with plenty of quality materials inside. The Porsche factory is one of the best in its field, offering great technology and maximum comfort for all occupants.
Little is known about the interior of the Macan EV at the moment. However, a lot of gossip shows that the upcoming electric SUV will keep the DNA of the Taycan model. We hope that the manufacturer will use the same infotainment system and many of the standard functions that can be found on this model.

2022 Porsche Macan EV specifications
Unlike the current Macan that uses the MLB platform, the Macan EV will be the first to be built on the PPE platform. According to some reports, it will share the same technical specifications as the Taycan. This means that it will probably get the same 800V / 350kW charging capacity. Taking this into account, you will produce an equal distance of 300.
Overall, as in the case of the Porsche Taycan, we expect the new 2022 Porsche Macan EV to be available in a few different power ratings. So it is very likely that there are options for choosing short and long term battery packs. However, at the moment, we’re not sure if the EV will be offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
2022 Porsche Macan EV Release date and price
As mentioned, the new 2022 Porsche Macan EV will debut sometime next year as the second EV in Porsche’s lineup. The Taycan model is the first to be introduced as an all-electric model with many innovations.
However, with the release of the Macan EV, we can expect more technology and features. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but anything worth $70,000 is more than welcome.
