The next generation 2022 Nissan Armada, also known as the Patrol, has been tested for the first time. As we can see, the new model will carry some improvements and a revised front. Like many models in the same class, including rivals Toyota Sequoia, Ford Expedition and Chevy Tahoe, the new three-row SUV is ready for a mid-cycle restyle. This should make this SUV more competitive than before.

The current second-generation Nissan Armada has broken several sales records and we can expect the same to happen with the next generation. Nissan has revealed that the next generation Armada will be launched next year as the 2022 Nissan Armada.

The 2022 Nissan Armada is the largest SUV in the Nissan range. In general, the design is unique and very thick. Like the previous Armada, the new device has mostly the same parts, except for minor updates that come out on top. The vintage SUV has a renewed front end, with a sleek new front grille and sharper headlights, reminiscent of the Infiniti QX80.

Behind the third row is 16.5 cubic feet of cargo space, which expands to a maximum of 95.4 cubic feet when the second and third rows are folded. The 2022 Nissan Armada full-size SUV will continue with the same level of finish. This model is available in exactly four of them, including the SV, SL, Platinum and Platinum Reserve trim levels.

The low entrance SV is very stylishly equipped. It includes features like a Bose 14-speaker audio system, 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, hands-free SMS assistance, keyless entry/ignition, and more. Like the previous model, the new 2022 Nissan Armada will likely keep the same engine. This model comes with a 5.6-liter V8 mill that produces 390 horsepower (290 kW). However, a lot of gossip shows that this engine is likely to provide more power than the previous one. Nissan will likely adapt to it, as it did with the Titan mill.

Many believe that the next model will provide at least 400 horsepower, which is an increase of ten horsepower. However, for now, we’re not sure if the Armada will keep the same seven-speed manual transmission or get the new nine-speed automatic.

Due to moderate updates, the 2022 Nissan Armada will likely cost more than the outgoing model. Many believe that a new full-size SUV with standard equipment will hit the $50,000 mark. However, we think that this price is completely unrealistic, for such a type of SUV. The main competitors of the Nissan Armada are such models as Toyota Sequoia, Ford Expedition and Chevy Tahoe.

The all-wheel drive SUV was updated from Nissan last year, and this clearly indicates that the current generation is about to remain in production for a while. Simply put, the number of changes was too many to see a redesign soon. However, this does not mean that the Japanese manufacturer has finished updates for this generation. According to some rumors, we could see a high-performance version of the SUV, which will be the 2022 Nissan Armada Nismo.

If that were to happen, we’d be pretty sure what to expect from the new Nismo Tie. 2022 Nissan Armada Nismo Design

Compared to the standard model, the 2022 Nissan Armada Nismo will feature a host of upgrades. First of all, we’ll see a new suspension that will lower the chassis and drive this large SUV better. In practical terms, we’re taking the same approach as the Patrol Nismo, which means some kind of mechanical upgrade. We can say the same about the design.

Without a doubt, the 2022 Nissan Armada Nismo will come with several design upgrades to accentuate its performance character. Some of the highlights will be the massive 22-inch wheels, along with LED lighting and an all-new body kit. The rear will be highlighted with a massive rear diffuser and new exhaust pipes. Of course, new bumpers and side skirts will be installed. Finally, we’re counting on plenty of NISMO badges around the cab, along with exclusive color options across the range.

However, the overall design of the cabin will remain the same. That means we’ll see the same design as in the recently updated model, which comes with a new touchscreen, smartphone integration and other tech upgrades.

Of course, this high-performance version, just like the standard version, remains very practical. This means that you can count on three rows of seats and can accommodate up to 8 passengers. The third row can also be useful and can accommodate adult passengers.

Of course, we also rely on somewhat similar numbers in terms of load capacity. For reference, the standard version offers approximately 16.5 cubic feet of space behind the third-row seats, 49.9 cubic feet with the third row folded down, and a total of 95.4 cubic feet.

When it arrives, the 2022 Nissan Armada Nismo will come with some minor engine upgrades. It’ll continue with the same 5.6-liter V8, with 28 more horsepower than the standard model. On the other hand, the maximum torque will remain the same. In numbers, that means 428 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. Of course, the engine will be paired with the same 7-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive will be standard.

We don’t think this small increase in power will affect fuel economy, so the numbers are likely to stay the same. For reference, the current model delivers about 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.

We have no doubts that the 2022 Nissan Armada Nismo will come with standard equipment. This refers to both technical and security features. When it comes to technology, we’re assuming it comes standard with dual-zone climate control, push-button operation, 12.3-inch touch screen, navigation, stereo speakers, satellite radio, wireless device charging, Bluetooth, USB ports, and network Wi Fi Hotspot, Android Auto, Wireless Apple CarPlay, 13-speaker Bose Sound System, etc.

When it comes to safety, the list of standard features includes: forward collision alert, pedestrian detection, front and rear automatic emergency braking, driver drowsiness monitoring, adaptive cruise control, vehicle leave alert, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and lane departure warning Rear cross traffic warning, front and rear parking sensors and a rear view camera.

2022 Nissan Armada Nismo release date and price

At the moment, the 2022 Nissan Armada Nismo is just a rumor, but we can find reports that it will be released at the end of this year. When it comes down to it, we estimate the starting price at around $75,000.
