2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC Full Reviews

An updated version of Germany’s flagship SUV, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC, will go on sale in its seventh year. After some minor exterior changes last year, the new SUV is ready for more upgrades. Unfortunately, this compact SUV is expected to be a rollover model in 2022. This means that it maintains the same design language and proportions.

Inside, the GLC will bring some warmth, with more standard equipment and more comfort. Overall, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC offers one of the most elegant cabins in its class, with elegant lines and beautiful design elements. However, unlike the previous model (with three engine options), Mercedes only packaged the new GLC with a hybrid system.

2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC redesigned

The German flagship, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC, is getting some minor upgrades. Attractive and compact SUV looks more elegant than before. Recently, Mercedes released a collage revealing the ultra-slim profile and newly formed LED headlights.

Plus, it also has sharper lines on the hood and better graphics on the taillights. A high-performance AMG model will also come out, and we could see a more sporty design. This package includes aluminum wheels, grille and better pneumatic inserts.

2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC Interior refreshments

Like the restyled C-Class sedan, Mercedes will make a similar change to the latest GLC model. The interior design is modern and comfortable. This midsize SUV offers two rows of seats and enough space for five passengers. As we said, it’s likely the manufacturer will use the same treatment indoors as it does with the newer C-Class. We hope to see the same large, vertically-oriented infotainment display, advanced driver assistance systems, and much better preferences.

Compared to other competitors, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC looks more elegant. It comes standard with leather upholstery, a 10.2-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, HD Radio and a 12.3-inch digital kit. Additionally, the upper moldings feature genuine leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel.

2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC engine specifications

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC is mechanically similar to the C-Class sedan. It uses the same mild hybrid system, which consists of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a 48-volt hybrid system and a nine-speed automatic transmission. In the same configuration, the C-Class develops 255 hp.

However, a Mercedes-Benz GLC should provide a minimum of 300 hp. A high-performance AMG release is also expected, but we are still waiting for the official news on this topic.

2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC Release date and price

The updated 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC is expected to be revealed by the end of this year. However, we expect sales to start in early 2022. As we said, the upcoming GLC is a carryover model that will receive moderate external and internal upgrades.

As for pricing, the new SUV will definitely cost more than the current car, which starts at $ 40,000. Interestingly, the caranddriver website stated that the GLC will cost around $ 45,000, which is justified given minor upgrades and a hybrid system. In the same category and price range, there are also competitors such as the Audi Q5 and BMW X3 models.
