The launch date of the new 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA is nearing. Unfortunately, like the previous model, the new model will not offer anything revolutionary. In 2020, Mercedes made some minor changes to the GLA class, separating it from its platform companion, the Infiniti QX30.

Inside, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA features the same sharp and sporty styling as the previous one. The youthful design is present and the GLA can accommodate five passengers. Hence, it contains a lot of soft-touch materials, fake carbon fibers, and some advanced technology.
Like the current GLA class, the new car features 8-way power-adjustable front seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry and start, and adjacent 7.0-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment screen. Additionally, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Natural are all Speech Recognition is also standard.

Under the hood, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA is offered with three engine options. The base SUV uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Interestingly, its power flows through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and uses front-wheel drive.

AWD is of course optional on this model. The AMG GLA35 also uses a 2.0-liter engine, but it delivers 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque via an AMG-tuned eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The most powerful version is the AMG GLA45. This model is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that generates 382 hp and 354 lb. It also uses an AMG-tuned eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with all-wheel drive as standard.
2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA release date and price
There is no official sale date for the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA. Based on previous release dates, the new crossover could arrive in the summer, while sales could start soon after. As for the price, it is not available yet.

Hopefully, it remains close to the current model’s price of $ 37,000 to $ 48,500. As before, this luxury compact crossover will compete with models in the same class as the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Volvo XC40.
