2022 Lincoln Aviator Full Reviews
The new 2022 Lincoln Aviator is a premium SUV that will undergo some cosmetic changes this year. This model has one of the most eye-catching styles in its class, replacing it between the giant Navigator and the smaller MKC Lincoln.
Like its predecessor, the new car is classified as a luxury three-class mid-size SUV and is based on the popular Ford Explorer. It is competitively priced against its European competitors and starts lower than the Audi Q7, BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class. Interestingly, Lincoln is once again offering the same twin-turbocharged engines as seen in the current model. In general, both engines are powerful, and this shouldn’t change.
2022 Lincoln Aviator exterior
The exterior of the new 2022 Lincoln Aviator is elegant. Overall, the Aviator, like its older brother, the Navigator, has the same attractive front end. Its appearance is recognized by its massive, prominent grille and new Pixel LED Adaptive Headlights. The side profile also catches the eye thanks to the standard 19 ” alloy wheels. Moreover, you will find sporty look at the back. Overall, we liked the chrome ends of the quad exhaust system the most.
The optional Monochromatic Reserve is also available and radically changes the look of this SUV. This package includes 22-inch black aluminum-alloy wheels and various body-colored exterior parts.

2022 Lincoln Aviator More luxury inside
The 2022 Lincoln Aviator is the best example of what an SUV should look like on the inside. This model offers one of the best amenities in its class. Interestingly, it offers 18 cubic feet of storage space, which is more than what the BMW X5 and Cadillac XT6 offer. All seats are supportive and the driver’s seat can be adjusted in 30 directions and is massage resistant.
In terms of technology, the upcoming SUV will include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto capabilities and more. On high upholstery, you get heated / ventilated seats, a smartphone switch, a four-zone climate control system, a panoramic sunroof, second-row captain seats, plus a head-up display.
2022 Lincoln Aviator Transmission system specifications
Under the hood, the latest 2022 Lincoln Aviator retains the same powertrain as its predecessor. It contains exactly two of them. However, this engine on the current model is EPA city / highway rated 18/26 mpg (RWD), 17/24 mpg (AWD) standard. The next and most efficient engine is a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharger, which also includes a 102hp electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery.
