2022 Kia Carnival Full Reviews
Some exciting news: Kia has unveiled a new minivan that should replace the popular Sedona model. According to the latest reports, the upcoming minivan will be called the 2022 Kia Carnival. Unlike the Sedona, the Carnival looks more attractive, with a square design resembling an SUV. Large wheels, crossover-like proportions and beautiful distinctive daytime running lights flowing into the attractive grille give this minivan the luxury of an SUV.
In general, first impressions are positive, and the new 2022 Kia Carnival reminds us of the famous Range Rover. In addition to the exterior, the interior also gets some advanced things, like an optional setup with two screens with digital gauges and a touch screen with a navigation system in the center. Additionally, all Carnival cars will use a powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 290 hp with front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

2022 Kia Carnival exterior
2022 Kia Carnival is an impressive luxury alternative to the outgoing Kia Sedona model. This minivan has a more attractive design and was built in the same California studio as Telluride and Sorento SUVs. At first glance, you will notice a more aggressive front end similar to the new Sorento.
However, the upcoming Carnival in the back looks more like a minivan. Of particular note, this minivan was one of the first cars to feature a redesigned Kia logo on the hood. They are also recognized by the attractive daytime running lights and sleek 17-inch alloy wheels. Kia also reveals that 19-inch alloy wheels will also be available, but only in the higher trim. Additionally, the manufacturer offers some premium paint colors, including Aurora Black Pearl, Ceramic Silver, Astra Blue and Snow White Pearl.
2022 Kia Carnival Excellent cabin
Inside, the upcoming 2022 Kia Carnival looks stunning. Overall, it has a more modern style than the outgoing Sedona. When you enter, you first see a large center console and a Mercedes-style infotainment system with two screens and a digital meter screen. However, SX-Prestige’s more luxurious upholstery offers leather upholstery and reclining second-row seats, while a panoramic sunroof is optional. According to Kia, the carnival has enough room for up to eight passengers.

The interior technology is much better at the Carnival, compared to the Sedona. Additionally, the new 2022 Kia Carnival comes standard with an 8-inch infotainment screen, as well as two 12.3-inch screens. By default, the manufacturer also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as the nine USB ports. A rear-seat entertainment system is also available, starting with the upholstery of the SX, while the powerful Bose 12-speaker stereo is part of the high-spec SX-Prestige line.
2022 Kia Carnival Powertrain specifications
Under the hood, the upcoming 2022 Kia Carnival uses a 3.5-liter V-6 that produces 290hp. The MPV also uses an eight-speed automatic transmission as the front-wheel drive as standard. Four-wheel drive is not on the list, which is a big problem. Generally speaking, competitors like the Pacifica have an optional hybrid powertrain, while the Sienna only comes as a hybrid.
We don’t expect Kia to present some of these configurations at the new Carnival, at least not right away. Kia says this minivan, thanks to the engine, can tow up to 3,500 pounds, which is excellent for such a minivan. On the other hand, this refined engine provides rapid acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 7 seconds. The fuel economy ratings are slightly better than the Sedona averages, with figures being 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined.
