2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz the Reviews
The new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz is the company’s first pickup truck to go into production next year. This model is based on the next-generation Tucson SUV and has an attractive design.
The Hyundai Santa Cruz camouflaged prototype is just spied on, and we have some exclusive photos to share. Unlike the original concept, the new model will be a “compact” pickup truck that’s likely slightly smaller than the Honda Ridgeline and Ford Ranger. Some information is still missing and Honda is keeping a secret what’s under the hood. From the information we have received, the new model will likely use a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with all-wheel drive as standard.
2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz under the hood
The latest 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz reveals some refreshment outside. At this point, we can only speculate about the engines. There is no official information on the type of engine that will power the Santa Cruz truck. A standard four-cylinder engine with turbocharging and all-wheel drive can be expected from many rumors.
Remember, the Santa Cruz concept that was introduced a few years ago had a diesel engine. Hyundai is scrapping the diesel before it goes on sale. This indicates that the next generation Santa Cruz may be offered with a hybrid powertrain. We will not guess and we are still waiting for details from more officials.

2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz exterior design
The first 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz spy photos have finally appeared after several shows we’ve seen. As we said, the all-new Santa Cruz will be based on the next-generation Tucson Crossover, and both models will bear the same theme.
At first glance, there are a lot of different things compared to the demo version. The new spied model wears heavy camouflage and we can somehow see a different design. Camouflaged through the camouflage, we see a block-shaped grille, layered LED headlights, black trims around the wheel arches and an upright side window. The bed was fully covered, but we saw many similarities with the first generation Ridgeline. Dimensionally, Santa Cruz is probably about a foot taller than Tucson. This means Santa Cruz will be 194 inches long. In comparison, the latest Ridgeline is 210 inches long, while the Ranger Double Cab is 211 inches long.
2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz interior design remains mysterious
Inside, the new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz will be modern. This pickup truck will always benefit from some of Tucson’s mentions. As you know, Tucson is one of this automaker’s best-selling models due to its durability and quality. We are sure that Santa Cruz will provide many luxurious materials and technologies.

If you remember, the sights we saw before reveal a cabin nearly identical to the one in Tucson. As a result, we assume that the cabin will be spacious and that there is room for five passengers in two rows. We can expect larger displays, mood lighting, excellent safety ratings, and more.
