2022 GMC Envoy the Review
Reports of this reliable motherboard are returning for some time. After years of speculation and rumors, it looks like something is really going to happen in the near future. Once again, the reason we believe in something like this is because the company introduced this painting. Obviously, they will do this for nothing. More subtle details are still talked about in the early days, but we think we can guess some of the more popular things about the 2022 GMC Envoy design.
Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is that this probably won’t be another real BoF SUV. This time, we’ll see something more popular in the current market, which is a typical one-body crossover. We expect this to be a fairly large car in terms of dimensions, but also a car that will use more efficient engines than before. We expect the new model to arrive next year.
GMC Envoy 2022 engines
Under the hood, we assume that the 2022 GMC Envoy will rely on two popular engines, typical of all models running this platform. This, of course, includes the popular 3.6-liter V6, which delivers around 310 hp. Those looking for something a little more economical can count on the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 250 hp. Both engines come with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which in base models sends power to the front wheels. Of course there will also be AWD versions available.
We expect the V6 to return around 18 mpg city and on the highway when it comes to fuel economy. Of course, the Turbo Four should have higher mpg rates.
2022 GMC Envoy redesign
When it comes to basic design features, the first thing we already mentioned is on the platform. While previous generations of this panel featured a traditional body-on-frame design, the new 2022 GMC Envoy will likely come with a unified modern design. This means that we are already talking about a crossover, which leads us to the well-known C1 platform. This engineering already bans many GM models, including the new Acadia. The new Envoy is likely to be larger than Acadia, largely a full-size crossover. Expect to share size and most of the mechanics with Chevy Traverse, which is going on an extended version of this platform.
With over 120 inches between the pivots, we could say this would be a full-size crossover, suitable for adults in three rows, but we’ll get to that side in a minute.

2022 GMC Envoy design
Another thing that naturally comes to mind is design. In this regard, we have no doubt that the new model will be very close to the brand’s latest design language. In practical terms, that means a very bold and powerful look, strongly inspired by the new Sierra. The Acadia also comes with an approach like this, so there is no reason why the 2022 GMC Envoy should not adhere to the same philosophy.
Like every GMC model, this model will also feature an advanced Denali version. Not only does this top level trim feature a full load of standard equipment, but it also features many exclusive aesthetic details, both inside and out. In terms of outward appearance, we rely on grilles, rims and the like.
2022 GMC Envoy Interior Design
The first thing that comes to mind is the interior space when it comes to interior design. Given that we are talking about a vehicle with a wheelbase of more than 120 inches, there is no doubt that the 2022 GMC Envoy will be very generous in terms of passenger space and cargo space. We’re assuming the numbers will be on par with Chevy Traverse, which offers about 41 inches of legroom in the first row, about 38.5 inches per second, and 33 inches in the third row. When it comes to cargo space, we rely on about 20 cubic feet behind the third row, 60 cubic feet behind the second row, and nearly 100 cubic feet behind the third row.
When it comes to dashboard design, we assume things won’t be much different when compared to the Acadia. This means you can count on an attractive dashboard made of high-quality materials, which is not inferior to other models in this class.
2022 GMC Envoy release date and price
The 2022 GMC envoy is still awaiting official confirmation, and some sources indicate that this model may arrive as early as the following year. We assume the basic versions will cost around $ 35,000.
