2022 Cadillac XT6 the Reviews
While it shares many components with the XT4 and XT5 models, the upcoming 2022 Cadillac XT6 looks unique. This mid-size model is an excellent choice if you are looking for an SUV with an attractive design and a wide range of features.
Cadillac offers plenty of coveted equipment, such as driver assistance features, three rows of seats, and a power liftgate. However, it also shares the market with several popular models such as the Audi Q7, BMW X5 and Lincoln Aviator. Under the hood, the Cadillac XT6 offers two engines, including a turbocharged four-cylinder and a V-6.
2022 Cadillac XT6 Upgrades
Not surprisingly, the new 2022 Cadillac XT6 shares many components with the popular GMC Acadia. It also borrows some styling cues from the XT4 and XT5 crossovers. Basically, it comes with the same shield-shaped grille, horizontal LEDs under the front of the hood, and attractive vertical daytime running LEDs. However, depending on the finish, the design of the Cadillac XT6 varies.
For example, if buyers choose the Premium Luxury finish, they can expect a glossy grille frame, attractive satin wheels, chrome accents around the windows and rocker panels. Most preferred is the Sport model that comes with a black mesh grille, dark-tinted windows, as well as neutral-density tinted lenses on the taillights.
2022 Cadillac XT6 Cabin Features
Inside, the new 2022 Cadillac XT6 is very modern. This SUV offers seven and eight seats, providing plenty of space for each passenger. The interior looks impressive, but it does not offer luxury like the Audi Q7 or BMW X5.
In terms of technology, the new Cadillac XT6 comes with infotainment with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto integration, wireless smartphone charging and onboard Wi-Fi. However, navigation is still optional, as is the rear seat entertainment system with DVD player. Additionally, driver assistance features are top features, including automatic emergency braking, lane assist, and blind spot monitoring as standard, while more advanced features like adaptive cruise control and night vision are available as an option.
2022 Cadillac XT6 Engine Specifications and Performance
Like the previous model, the new 2022 Cadillac XT6 is offered with the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 237 horsepower. Essentially, the Cadillac XT6 shares the same engine as the smaller XT5 model.
However, it also offers an optional 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available on Premium, Luxury and Sport trims. In addition, all models come with a nine-speed automatic transmission and front or all-wheel drive. Additionally, the XT6 can tow up to 1,000 pounds with a starter engine, while the V6-powered versions can tow 4,000 pounds.
2022 Cadillac XT6 Price
The new 2022 Cadillac XT6 is a great SUV that offers few levels of trim. Plus, the premium-equipped, front-engine model starts at $47,995. Note, however, that this price does not include the $995 destination fee. At the top is a sporty all-wheel-drive version that’s priced at roughly $58,500.
The most expensive Premium Luxury and Sport models can reach 70,000 when loaded with options. Cadillac recently revealed that the next generation XT6 should be introduced sometime in 2021.
