After huge sales of the BMW X7 flagship model, the manufacturer is preparing to make a more elegant version called 2022 BMW X8. This SUV looks more meaningful than the X7 brother.

According to the company, the next model will look more aggressive and bring more technical features inside. BMW is known as the manufacturer with a long history, so you can expect an excellent interior and more exclusive materials from the X7. Some rumors indicate that the new model will likely use the same six-cylinder diesel engine as the X7 30d.

2022 BMW X8 engine specifications

The rumored 2022 BMW X8 will have two engine options under the hood. Unlike most BMW SUVs, the latest X8 will be the most competitive in the market. This prototype will feature a set of six and eight cylinders.

The base model most likely uses the X7 30d six-cylinder diesel engine. This engine consisted of a 3.0-liter, six-cylinder turbocharged engine that produced 261 hp and 620 Nm of torque. Thanks to this engine, the X7 accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 7.0 seconds.

Next up is a 3.0-liter petrol 40i V-6 with a capacity of 3.0-liter and a 4.4-liter V8 (xDrive50i) twin-turbo engine under the X7 delivers 456 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, it uses an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddles paddle.
