There are only four days left until the full reveal of the flagship 2022 Acura MDX. According to Acura, the new model will be presented on Tuesday, December 8th. The manufacturer showed off the MDX in a prototype a few days ago, and we have to admit that it looks significantly different from the previous model.
The new model will be taller, lower and wider than its predecessor. It also provides a more elegant and sophisticated look. As Acura revealed that the new 2022 Acura MDX will be available with a 3.5-liter V6 making roughly 290 horsepower after the base MDX hits the market, fans can also expect a warmer S Type, powered by the same 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 as the TLX Type S.
2022 Acura MDX Exterior changes
The upcoming 2022 Acura MDX flagship looks almost identical to the prototype we saw recently. In general, the new model has been updated compared to the previous one and has a well-shaped interface. For starters, the test mule shows its net and nothing else. Also, as we can see, the manufacturer used the same design language as RDX. The Acura’s diamond five-point grille is still present, surrounded by LED headlights and vertical air intakes. Fans and buyers can certainly expect a more aggressive design thanks to the many darker accents.
